نشرت شركة "جوجل" بيانا حول تسريب بيانات ملايين من عملائها على موقع إلكترونى روسى، تحذر فيه مستخدمى خدمة البريد الإلكترونى الذى تقدمه "Gmail" من إمكانية استخدام تلك البيانات فى عمليات قرصنة وسرقة، لذا نصحتهم بشكل حاسم بتغيير كلمة السر الخاصة بهم. وقد أفادت صحيفة "ديلى ميل" البريطانية أن القراصنة الذين استولوا على أسماء 5 ملايين مستخدم وبياناتهم وكلمة السر الخاصة بهم قاموا بنشرها على موقع روسى على الإنترنت اسمه "Bitcoin Security"، عن طريق رابط على موقع "Reddit " يوم الثلاثاء الماضى. وقد أفاد الشخص الذى سرب البيانات أن المستخدمين من دول مختلفة وهى إنجلترا، روسيا، إسبانيا، و60% منهم حسابات نشطة. جدير بالذكر أن كلمة السر الخاصة بتلك الحسابات لا تتيح الولوج إلى البريد الإلكترونى فحسب، بل إنها تتيح الفرصة لاستخدام باقى خدمات جوجل مثل ملفات العمل المحفوظة "Drive" وخدمات الدفع عبر الإنترنت "Google Wallet". وقد قالت "سفتلانا أنوروفا"، المتحدث الرسمى باسم جوجل، إن الشركة على دراية بالاختراق الأمنى الذى طالها، وتنصح مستخدميها بتغيير كلمة السر الخاصة بهم، إلى جانب بعض الإجراءات الاحتياطية مثل تأكيد الحساب الذى يتم على مرحلتين، وهو إجراء يتم عن طريق طلب كلمة سر تصل المستخدم عن طريق الهاتف المحمول، لتأكيد تأمين الحساب، وأكدت أنوروفا على أن حفظ خصوصية بيانات المستخدمين تعد أولوية للشركة العالمية. كما أضافت أنه ليس هناك دليل على وجود اختراق أنظمة جوجل، فى الحال قامت الشركة بإنشاء موقع إلكترونى يمكّن المستخدمين الذين سُرقت حساباتهم من استرجاعها، على الرابط التالى: https://isleaked.com/en ولم يتم حتى الآن التوصل إلى هوية مخترق حسابات المستخدمين، وإن كان هو نفس الشخص الذى قام بالتسريب أم لا.
